Loving Life in 92011
When Cindi and Chris Herman were in college, they visited Carlsbad on a whim and fell in love with the town, the beach, the weather, and the comfortable feeling they had during their time in the community. “While we were in the San Francisco area and my husband Chris was finishing up dental school, we were thinking of where we wanted to live and continue growing our family. We decided on Carlsbad for all the things we loved during our visit, and also for the great schools for our children,” stated Cindi. Since then the Herman family has immersed themselves in the Carlsbad community through volunteer work, family activities, and taking advantage of all 92011 has to offer.
Cindi and Chris have known each other since they were in first grade. They grew up two blocks from each other, were in every elementary school class together, and have been best friends all their lives. According to Cindi, Chris is fulfilling his lifelong dream of being a dentist, and owns a cosmetic and general family dental practice in the Tri-City Medical Center. Cindi is a substitute teacher for La Costa Meadows and is a dedicated volunteer for the school. She is the PTO room parent coordinator, organizes teacher appreciation week, and plans the annual La Costa Meadows holiday bazaar. “It is such a great feeling being able to help my kids’ teachers and the school where they spend so much time learning. Most of all, though, I love the priceless feeling I get when I see how excited my kids get when they see me come on campus to volunteer,” related Cindi.

“As a family, we try to do as much as possible whenever we can. We take the kids on scooter rides, play games at home, have bonfires on the beach and take family vacations every spring break,” revealed Cindi.
