Five eighth graders from the national basketball team of Poland visited Carlsbad for a week with their coach in late January. Their program included basketball camp at the Army and Navy Academy in Carlsbad, practices and scrimmages with other eighth graders from Carlsbad’s Team Relentless, and attending UCLA and Clippers basketball games.

Team Relentless is an elite basketball program for boys and girls in fourth grade through high school in Carlsbad. The Polish team’s visit was a unique experience for everyone involved. “This was such an amazing opportunity for us to visit Carlsbad,” said Polish basketball player Amadeusz Lupinski. “Basketball is a much higher priority sport in the U.S. We attended a high school game at Sage Creek and the support, music, and atmosphere was like a professional game in Poland! We hope that some of the friends we made at Team Relentless will one day be able to visit us in Poland. That would be a dream come true.” For more information about Team Relentless visit
